You would need to visit us and the monitor would be fitted externally by one of our trained Cardiac Physiologists such as Mark for Chorley based patients.

You would be explained how to use it and what it does and you would be required to return it the following day unless the recording period is for longer than 24hours. It is completely painless and you should do your normal activity over 24hours with the exception of bathing and showering while wearing the monitor. The monitor takes continuous readings of the ECG during the recording period. You will be given a diary card to write any symptoms so that any symptoms can be correlated with the ECG at the particular time.
